SHAZZAM!

Yesterday was off the charts, as predicted. Target.com stopped by and loved our stuff. We are sending him pricing and a sample set of 6 blankets to be waiting on his desk first thing Monday morning! There was a ton of traffic and we doubled the amount of contacts. Probably the orange polos. A man from a furniture store stopped by our booth and wanted us to put freckles on his forehead. We gave him Zeek the brown blanket and he was instantly attached. Spanky, as he called himself, ran around and told children to come to our booth to get tattooed.

After the show, Patrice and Sheila stayed at the hotel and filled out orders from the day. So they MADE Andrea and me attend an industry reception at the Hilton. So we made ourselves beautiful and hitched a ride with some neighbor ladies. It was SHWANKY, people, let me tell you. Jewels and crystals sparkling everywhere! Outdoor bar made out of ice. People walking on stilts, doing magic, painting pictures, singing and dancing. It was intense. We found all of our friends from the trade show and did a sweet dance where we hopped on bubble wrap. It was cooler than it sounds.

Everyone was dressed so nice! Across the entire banquet room, who did I spot? Our dear friend, Spanky. Spanky with a Snugaboo blanket on his head, freckles still on his forehead and a miller light in his hand. We went up to him with our jaws to the floor in disbelief. He was stopping anyone who looked at him and told him about it. We were like..."IS HE SERIOUS? We don't even know this guy!?" We just stood and starred and laughed at him for a good half hour. Soon people were taking pictures of him and with him like he was some sort of famous entertainer. It was amazing.

After the reception, some kids offered to take us to the Stratosphere. Us gals have been dying to take some sweet night photos of the strip. So we went with them. (Don't worry Dad, we knew them from the trade show.) HA I threw in 5 dollars at the casino and left with 17!!! I made a pretty big deal out of it. Bet big to win big baby! Poor Andrea lost 20$. THEN we found a gal we knew who worked there & she escorted us to the top with security guards for FREE. My goodness. We have been nothing but lucky lately. Andrea & I seriously ran so fast to the very top which was outside. You HAVE to experience it. It was unbelievable. Our eyes were bulging from our heads in complete awe. Like looking at a sea of gold, warm wind whipping around us. It was the best.

There are three rides on top of the building and of course Andrea and I were like NO WAY. Look at the picture Andrea took of the one shooting straight out & down. Never would I be able to handle being thrown off the building. Sick. What's wrong with people. I could maybe handle the power tower straight up and down one but thats it. They should buy that picture from her and use it on a billboard.

We ended the night early - neither of us wanted to be tired the next day so went to the hotel around 12:30.

We tried so hard to be quiet but ended up waking up Sheila and Patrice and telling them all about the crazy night they missed out on. The were so excited to hear about Spanky!! I don't know how to sum up this blog entry so I will end by saying, then we went to bed!!
