Show Stoppers!

WE DID IT! We managed to construct the most magnificent booth at the 2008 ABC kids Expo.

Everything turned out perfect! Our red curtain was draped perfect, our Snugaboo sign hung just so and our blankets were front and center, just where they should be. WE WERE READY TO ROCK THIS SHOW!

At one point in the day Megan decided to put daisy on for fun. As soon as she put the blanket on her head the staring began. From that point on, we wore the blankets.

We learned that Sunday and Monday are the days that the independent store owners were invited, and Tuesday and Wednesday are the days for the Large Retail Chains. So we had many small boutique-ish, ma and pop store buyers roaming the isles.

The show was pretty quiet, being Sunday and all, but we were ready to roll. We took turns walking the isles with our snugaboos on and big smiles on our faces. People loved us. We had tons of comments like: "LOVE IT!", "TOO CUTE!", "Are you selling these at the show my son, daughter, granddaughter, etc, etc would love it!". We reply with yes and they were thrilled. (Maybe we will be down to 10 bags of luggage appose to the 15 before.) Sell Sell Sell BABY!

Megan took off on a caffeine run during the day and met a lovely lady that was intrigued with her head piece...snugaboo, and Daisy of course - her favorite. She asked if she could have more information because she would love to write an article about us. Megan filled her in and ran back to the booth to share the news. We had many other hot prospects that were thrilled to learn about the product.

A few ladies had us on their list to visit and wanted to talk to us about potentially being our Dallas sales reps. They were thrilled with the new product, and want to set up a time to meet with our owner!!!

It didn't take long for us to make friends with our neighbors. Since we will be in each others company for 5 days. They were full of great information. Since they have done many trade shows in the past. We learned a little about the in's and out's of the trade show world.

After the show was over we were a exhausted. Patrice and I took a dip in the pool then went on a wine run. (If you look closely at the photo you can see Patrice's freckles...she must have been a good girl today!)

We had a romantic meal in our cozy kitchen, of Caesar salads, cheese and crackers and reheated pizza from the night before....oh and wine of course it was a great ending to a great first day!

Day two, watch out, here we come!

XOXO - Andrea :)
