The 13 hour flight to Tokyo couldnt have gone any better. Our favorite part of the flight journey here has to be our new friends Ruby, Norma and Joe!
Ruby Dazzalina as we named her, sparkled her way into our hearts with her dazzling glasses, barbie blonde banana clip pony tail attachment, ruby red lipstick and spectacular flight attending skills. The combination of swarkovski bah-linged-out spectacles and bedazzled personalized uniform could have sent signals to far away galaxies. Then, Sheila grabbed at a bottle of Dazzalina's fantastic frozen orange juice and she threatened to put an end to our precious lives.
Norma. In a nutshell, she is a 60-ish year old champion of life. A world traveling professor (Ph.D.) of history at luther college. What a gem. A walking talking nugget of knowledge. She jogs, bikes and swims every day. She kept Sheila and I on our toes with the latest greatest excersize techniques. Another attempt to prevent jet lag!
Joe, a flight attendant for the past 25 years, aka Mr. Smarty Pants, was more than wonderful to us. He chatted with Norma, Sheila and myself and we sort of started an Exit row Happy Hour. Sheila grabbed some peanuts and chips she had socked away in her backpack and Joe kept the business class wine coming. He also slipped us some hot turkey sandwiches from upstairs as opposed to the cold bland ones we should have gotten. What a guy!
Since we didn't get any window seats, we did many laps around the plane. We hardly sat down and got asked a few times not to congregate near the exit areas.
But the photos and views were more than worth all of their shannanigans!

Only our little Miss sunshine would make friends on such a long trip. =)
Hope everything goes well.
